Aims
of the Course
The aim of
the course is to prepare students for senior management roles at both national
and international levels in HIV/AIDS prevention strategy and sexual health
planning.

Audience
The course
is intended for people already working or intending to work at senior
management levels in HIV/AIDS prevention strategy and sexual health planning.
Thus, the course is suitable for doctors, nurses, health visitors, health
services managers, public health officers, social workers, youth &
community leaders, human resources managers and other allied healthcare
professionals.

Certificate Course
In order
for a postgraduate certificate to be awarded, students would have to pass the 4
modules below. The postgraduate certificate course carries 60 academic
credits. The course is studied and assessed at level 7 of the UK qualifications scale.

Postgraduate
Diploma Course
In order to
be awarded the postgraduate diploma, students must successfully complete the 4
postgraduate certificate modules above and the 4 postgraduate diploma modules (i.e.
a total of 8 modules) below. The postgraduate diploma course carries 120
academic credits. The course is studied and assessed at level 7 of
the UK qualifications scale.

of Science (MSc) Degree
In order to
be awarded the MSc degree, students must have successfully completed the 8
modules (i.e. 4 modules of the postgraduate certificate and the 4 modules of
the postgraduate diploma modules) plus the Dissertation module.
The MSc
programmes carries 180 academic credits. The course is studied and
assessed at level 7 of the UK qualifications system.
