About this Course

The WHO estimates that there is an annual incidence of 333 million cases of curable (not including AIDS) Sexually Transmitted Diseases (STI s) worldwide. This course provides a detailed, yet easy to understand guide to the most common Sexually Transmitted Diseases, how they are caught, how to prevent them and, where possible, how to treat them.

This diploma course is suitable both for people already working in or intending to work in healthcare or related professions; charities, government organisations, NGOs, religious organisations or institutes, local authorities and other non-profit-making organisations. It is also for those people who intend to work as any of the following: social workers, homelessness officers, welfare officers, humanitarian personnel, nurses and midwives.
